SUPPORTING GLOSSOPDALE'S ELDERLY WITH AGE CONCERN

11 November 2012

Baker’s Solicitors office is being used as a town centre drop off point for Age Concern’s tin appeal this Christmas. Over the years the annual tin appeal has helped thousands of older people who might struggle to get out in ice and snow. As Christmas fast approaches donations are once again needed to help feed more than 200 elderly residents around Glossop when the bad weather sets in.

If you would like to donate food to the appeal then please call into Baker’s office on the High Street with your donations. Small items are preferred as they make it easy for the food parcels to be packed and items should ideally have a long shelf life. Popular choices are tinned fruit, meat, vegetables, pies, puddings, soup or fish, packets of biscuits, jam, chocolates, UHT milk and any other items that can be stored at room temperature for a couple of months.
