TAMESIDE COLLEGE STUDENT SECURES INTERNSHIP WITH BAKERS SOLICITORS

20 June 2014

Bakers Solicitors recently invited A Level Law students at Tameside College the opportunity to apply for an internship with the firm which offers a package of support including mentoring, a financial award and work experience during their law degree.

Students were initially invited to submit letters of application which were assessed by the partners at Bakers Solicitors. Several students were then invited to an interview consisting of a presentation and a questions and answer session.

All of the students from Tameside College delivered impressive presentations however Kade Heaney from Droylsdon was successful in securing this fantastic package of support during his law degree.

Partner Kirsten Collings said 'We are delighted to be able to offer this exciting opportunity to Kade. We were very impressed with all of the candidates who all submitted impressive letters of application and delivered their presentations confidently. Kade stood out from the other candidates though as his letter and presentation were both articulate and engaging and this was something he maintained during his interview too. In recognition of the effort and the strength of the other applications we have also offered those candidates the opportunity to partake in work experience with us this summer. We are very much looking forward to supporting and mentoring Kade throughout his university studies starting with his work experience placement this summer.'

Kade starts his 3 week placement with Bakers Solicitors on Monday 23rd June and will have the opportunity to attend courts and police stations during the week whilst also spending time in the office shadowing the different law teams.
